Hanssens is one of the oldest family run lambic blenders in Belgium. The Hanssens family has been making lambic since 1871. The yeasts living along with the Hanssens’ are some of the strongest, most robust bugs, having developed together for generations.
We are currently harvesting SpontainAir yeasts that are on their 880,655th generation at Hanssens. Nothing beats the maturity of these organisms when creating a rich, full lambic!
